Mr. D. I. Njoku

The President General,

ADU, Home and Abroad.

Obibi Amumara Ezinihitte Mbaise.

November 7th 2003.

Dear Sir,

On behalf of the executives and members of Amumara Development Union (ADU) America Inc., we bring you greetings. It is our prayer and hope that all is well with Amumara.

Amumara Development Union (ADU) America Inc. as you are aware, came into existence in May 2001 in the city of Baltimore, Maryland, United State of America, as an umbrella organization for all Amumara indigenes in the Americas. The ADU here was designed to help us come together as a group, to encourage and support the spirit of community and service to Umaras in the Americas and in Amumara. The objective of the organization is to promote and project the dignity of Amumara by encouraging socio-economic and cultural developments in Amumara.

Pursuant to this objective, the organization has since its inception carried out the following projects;

1.                 Donated to Amumara Electricity Project.

2.                 Donated to Amumara Women Health Center Project.

3.                 Purchased and distributed School Supplies to Elementary School Students in Amumara.

4.                 Conducted Census Count for Amumara.

5.                 Sponsored traditional dance festival/competition for the villages in Amumara.

6.                 It must be note also that one of our regional branches (in the Northeastern part of the U.S.) paid the cost of roofing the completed portion of Amumara Town Hall.

In the same spirit, the organization (ADU America, Inc.) during her 2003 general convention in the city of Elizabeth, New Jersey in the United States,

resolved to encourage and support the completion of the Amumara Civic Center.

Mr. President Sir, this letter is to officially inform you and your cabinet that Amumara Development Union (ADU) America Inc. has resolved to complete the Amumara Civic Center. And we humbly request that you use your good offices to mobilize other ADU branches at home (in Nigeria) to join us in our efforts towards a successful completion of this project, Amumara Town Hall. Amumara is for all of us. Therefore, all hands must be on deck in any efforts to make our dear hometown better. Also, we are concerned about the security of people and property in Amumara.

Your advice and insight on these issues and other issues relating to Amumara will be highly valued.

Finally, Amumara is a very big and complex enterprise and it is our belief that in the management of this enterprise, all stakeholders should be involved. It is our observation that by omission or commission we, Amumara indigenes outside Nigeria are neither communicated nor involved when matters concerning Amumara are dealt with. We bring this observation to your notice, so that this oversight might be corrected.  It is our hope that this letter will open up a communication link between us.

We thank you for your time and your anticipated cooperation.

God bless ADU, Home and Abroad.

God bless Amumara.

God bless ADU. America Inc.

Yours truly,
